Washington Afterschool Network Partnership Group

The Washington Afterschool Network (WAN) Partnership Group is comprised of interested community members and partners and serves as both an advisory panel and work group.

Regular WAN Partnership Group participants include policy makers, educators, childcare providers, youth development workers, program developers, advocates, parents and others. The WAN Partnership Group is open to anyone interested in afterschool and youth development issues.  Members may join at any time and participate at the level at which they are comfortable.

Past projects of the Partnership Group include defining what learning looks like in afterschool programs, providing advice on licensing issues for child care programs, providing feedback and support around the creation of the state plan (found under "Publications & Products" on this website,) and helping raise awareness about the importance of afterschool.

Quarterly Partnership Group meetings are held at various locations throughout Washington State. The Partnership Group meets on the first Friday of the month in March, June, September and December.  Dates for our 2012 meetings are: March 2, June 1, September 14, and December 7. Anyone interested in afterschool and youth development issues is welcome to attend.  RSVP by clicking the blue "RSVP!" button on this page.
