Bridge Conference 2013
SAVE THE DATE!!
October 21 and 22, 2013
The Husky Union Building (HUB), University of Washington, Seattle Campus
The Bridge From School to Afterschool and Back Conference is a two-day conference in its 11th year. Bridge brings together afterschool and youth development (AYD) professionals, school leaders (e.g. superintendents, principals and classroom teachers), funders, researchers, policymakers, trainers/coaches and business leaders from across the country. The Conference focuses on cutting-edge research, resources and strategies relevant to strengthening the services that youth (in grades K-12) receive both in and out of school.
The HUB on the prestigious UW campus provides a natural environment to learn and challenge ourselves. We are very excited to bring the Bridge Conference to this new venue.
What will make the 2013 Bridge Conference stand out:
- A university setting is where learning and research happens! Many schools and departments within the University of Washington partner and support both formal and informal education settings across the state. The UW College of Education is a sponsor of the conference and will help set the tone for collaboration and building partnerships between in-school and out-of-school learning spheres.
- The HUB is built to support students and learning with state of the art conference facilities and recreation options as well. We can have fun while we learn! After a day of professional growth and networking, you can relax at the gaming area where you’ll find bowling alleys, ping pong tables and more. Check out the floor plans below.
As we have done for the past 10 years, School’s Out Washington is committed to recruiting high-caliber presenters from across the country to facilitate engaging workshops on topics relevant to what is happening in the field today. We look forward to working with advisors at the local and national level to help shape another unique professional development experience.
