WRAP North Central Region

The Washington Regional Afterschool Project North Central Region covers Adams, Chelan, Douglas, Grant and Okanogan counties.

Meet the Wrap Specialist: Jeannie Kiehn

My passion for educating children has given me many hats to wear:  4-H leader, substitute para-pro, pre-school teacher, Sunday school teacher, PTA president, community Easter chairperson, FFA district competition judge, in-home daycare provider, senior project judge, and board positions for the local Community Hall, Communities That Care, Gear-Up, NCW Afterschool Taskforce, Washington Afterschool Association and Operation:  Military Kids.  Other involvement includes:  Community Women’s Civic Group, Grant County Cattlewomen, and Grant County Historical Society.

If that doesn’t keep me busy enough, my husband and I have four children and three grandchildren.  The youngest, still at home, keeps me going to sports all of the school year and horse events all summer, as well as fairs and shows.  I live on a small farm just outside of George where I and my family have always enjoyed having a variety of animals.  I feel that the animals can give unconditional love and teach kids responsibility.  For fun and hobbies, I bake and decorate cakes for all occasions.  I also enjoy photography, antiquing and WSU sports games.
