Customized Training
School's Out Washington offers customized training to afterschool and youth development (AYD) programs that serve children and youth. Our trainers bring a wide range of experience and can tailor trainings to meet a program's particular needs. This can be an extremely cost-effective way to ensure that all your program staff share a grounding in the same knowledge base about critical issues and best practices which impact their work and the young people, families, and communities they serve. Organizations with multiple sites find this approach particularly helpful in ensuring consistency from program site to program site
These trainings can be delivered at your site, which many programs find very convenient. If your program is small, but you still would like to have on-site training, one option is to open the workshop up to other agencies who then share the cost with you. We also have a great conference room here at School's Out which is available for use by groups for customized trainings.
School's Out trainers and coaches are highly knowledgable and up-to-date on the latest developments in school-age care, youth development and best practices. For those working with children ages 5-12 in licensed programs, all trainings provided by School's Out trainers are STARS-approved and providers may use STARS scholarships to pay for any School's Out training.
