Best Starts for Kids Grantees Amongst Bridge Conference Presenters

The Bridge Conference is right around the corner! October 29th and 30th promise to be two full days of top tier professional development for front-line youth workers, and an incubator of strategic thinking for systems-level leaders like funders and policymakers.
Best Starts for Kids Out-of-School Time grantees are in the lineup of youth development experts presenting (which include many SOWA staff and trainers) at the conference.
- Janelle Jordan from Southwest Youth and Family Services and Pedro Perez from Geeking Out Kids of Color are presenting White Providers Working with Youth of Color: Creating Racial Equity Education in Your Program on Monday and Reclaiming our Time: Recentering Marginalized Voices by Fostering Communities of Healing Practices (a POC only workshop) on Tuesday.
- Chanel Hall of Techbridge Girls is presenting Promoting Youth Voice through Culturally-Responsive STEM Activities on Tuesday.
- Melissa Slater from the Bellevue School District is on the panel Expanded Learning Opportunities for Youth in Affordable Housing and Experiencing Homelessness as part of the Systems track on Tuesday.
