Training on At-Risk Afterschool Meal Program

by School's Out Washington | | Posted under Workshops & Training

Do you know about the At-Risk Afterschool Meal Program?  You may be eligible to receive higher reimbursements and serve a meal during afterschool hours as part of this federally-subsidized meal program that has gone through improvements and expansion in the past couple years.  However, hundreds of programs are not aware of the changes and how much of the paperwork and technical aspects have been simplified in order to help programs enroll and ultimately feed kids!

The Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction and United Way of King County are holding a training on the At-Risk Afterschool Meal Program. This training will be a great opportunity to learn more about how your organization can participate and learn the technical aspects of this program.

The training will be held at the 2100 Building at 2100 24th Ave S, Seattle WA on December 12 from 1-5 pm. Trainings will be held statewide, you can view the full schedule and listing below and on OSPI’s website at here.  Be sure to check out School’s Out Washington’s Afterschool and Summer Meals webpage to learn more about these meal programs, whether your program would be eligible and how to apply.
