Increase state investment in Expanded Learning Opportunities to $2M
It’s this simple: quality expanded learning cuts the opportunity gap.
When expanded learning is supported to achieve quality and complement the school day, our state can narrow the opportunity gap and develop tomorrow’s leaders. A $2M state investment in the Expanded Learning Opportunities Initiative will leverage private sector investments to reach more youth.
The Expanded Learning Opportunities Initiative will:
- Expand to more programs and into at least two additional counties.
- Reach a more diverse population of youth, including programs that serve foster youth and adjudicated youth.
- Build critical supports such as coaching, training, and technical assistance based on the unique needs of each program.
Washington’s children and youth need your help. Let’s show Olympia how important quality expanded learning is to our state!.
