Invest $2.25m in the Expanded Learning Opportunities Quality Initiative
When expanded learning is supported to achieve quality and complement the school day, our state can narrow the opportunity gap and develop tomorrow’s leaders. A $2.25M state investment in the Expanded Learning Opportunities Initiative will leverage private sector investments to reach more youth.
This investment will allow:
- Expansion from 40 programs serving ~1,600 youth to 300 program serving ~13,200 youth
- Move into at least two additional counties.
- Reach a more diverse population of youth serving organizations including programs that serve English language learners.
- Create increased supports such as coaching, training, and technical assistance based on the unique needs of each program.
