Intro to the Active-Participatory Approach - Methods Workshop (Seattle, June 29)

Youth programs can be optimized for youth needs, motivation, and engagement. The Active-Participatory Approach to youth work was designed to address these goals. This youth-centered approach is the foundation for the Youth Work Methods Series. 

Objectives

  1. Be able to identify the four guiding principles of the Approach.
  2. Recognize best practice behaviors.
  3. Incorporate aspects of the Approach into their planning.

Youth Work Methods Certificate

This workshop is part of the Youth Work Methods series designed by the David P. Weikart Center for Youth Program Quality to empower direct-staff with tools that will increase the quality of their work with youth.

Attend all ten Youth Work Methods workshops and receive a certificate of completion. Ask Nerrisah Townsend, ntownsend@schoolsoutwashington.org, for more details. You can keep track of the Methods workshops you've completed with this form.
