SEL PQA Item Review (Nov 10, 4:00-6:00 PM)
STARS Credits: 2
Have you or your program utilized the Social Emotional Learning Program Quality Assessment (SEL PQA) tool in the last three years? If so, as with much of 2020, it’s time for a transition. This training will prepare participants who have experience using the SEL PQA (Beta) Tool for their transition to using the most updated SEL PQA assessment tool developed by the David P. Weikart Center for Youth Program Quality. Learn what's new, what's different, and what it means for your assessment process.
Please note that this workshop is intended for anyone who has prior experience with self-assessment specifically using the SEL PQA beta tool. We will spend the majority of the session exploring the new tool. If you are interested in learning more about the self-assessment process in general and/or want to join conversations about how to support continuous improvement cycles this school-year, please register for our session “Quality Improvement in the Times of COVID” on November 18th.
If you are new to program quality in general or have never used a version of the SEL PQA, we’ll be launching new trainings, just for you, starting in January 2021 – stay tuned and check our training calendar regularly!
Please note that this will be a virtual event, and it is strongly recommended that you participate using a computer.
- Learn the structure of the updated SEL PQA (a.k.a. the SEL “Core” tool)
- Be able to identify differences between the beta version of the SEL PQA and the updated SEL PQA
