Sensory Foundations and the Power of Movement (Mar 23)

Sensory Foundations is to provide a deeper understanding of the sensory systems and how they affect our behavior, daily activities, and learning in school, at home, and in life. Learning outcomes include: 
  • The impact of sensory processing on behavior. 
  • Modifications for the home/school environment. 
  • Accommodations to provide the child.
  • Sensory strategies to use to assist with bringing a child to a ready-to-learn state.

The Power of Movement focuses on the motor difficulties associated with ASD, SPD, ADHD, and other neuro-diversities and the importance of posture and movement in the classroom and at home and how it relates to behavior. Learning outcomes include:
  • The impact of movement in development, behavior, and learning.
  • Specific activities to incorporate at school or home.
  • Ways to incorporate movement at home and in the classroom.

About the Instructor

Most SOWA workshops and webinars are STARS approved. Classes fill quickly and registrations are processed in the order received. Your registration is not complete until payment is received.

SOWA reserves the right to cancel any training event two business days prior to the event. In case of cancellation, registrants will be notified and registration fees refunded. If you cannot attend a training event, we will refund your registration fees only if we are contacted at least two business days prior to the event. Otherwise, no refunds will be given.
